In addition, it is "the most powerful and fastest mass car" in the history of the company (of course, not counting limited hypercars like LaFerrari) ...
The Italians declassified the two-door "812 Superfast" on the Web in mid-February 2017, and organized its full-fledged premiere in March as part of the International Geneva Auto Show.
The car that replaced the F12berlinetta was the result of a deep modernization of the previous model (which is why the company itself calls it new), but inherited the best qualities from both the Berlinetta and its final version, F12tdf.
Outside, the Ferrari 812 Superfast looks not just beautiful, but stunning - the "body" of the supercar is great in terms of aerodynamics and aesthetics. A distraught "face" with full LED headlights and a huge "mouth" of the air intake, a swift silhouette with an "endless" hood, a cockpit moved back and expressive sidewalls, a mighty rear with wide "hips", double round optics and a pair of exhaust "double-barreled" - appearance supercar will definitely not leave anyone indifferent.
The sleek design hides the impressive dimensions of the two-door: its length extends to 4657 mm, the width and height are 1971 mm and 1276 mm, respectively, and the wheelbase reaches 2720 mm. The "dry" weight of the vehicle is 1525 kg.
The interior of the Ferrari 812 Superfast is decorated in a minimalist style typical for the Italian brand - only "turbines" of ventilation deflectors, a laconic "microclimate" unit and several buttons for controlling secondary functions are placed on the center console. The workplace of the "pilot" inside the car is represented by a sports multifunctional steering wheel with a rim "sawn down" from the bottom and modern "instrumentation" with a dominant tachometer and two color displays of the infotainment complex.
Salon "812" - strictly two-seater, as befits a real supercar. The riders find themselves in the tight embrace of sports chairs with a well-developed side profile, integrated headrests, hard padding and quite decent adjustment ranges.
Specifications. The engine compartment of the Ferrari 812 Superfast houses a naturally aspirated V12 petrol engine with a volume of 6.5 liters (6496 cubic centimeters), equipped with "formula" valve lifters, direct fuel injection at 350 bar pressure, a variable intake manifold and 48 valves. It is armed with 800 horsepower available at 8500 rpm and 718 Nm of torque at 7000 rpm (while 80% of the thrust is supplied to the wheels at 3500 rpm).
"Atmospheric" is installed in combination with a 7-speed "robot" F1 DCT with a pair of quick-acting clutches and drive wheels on the rear axle.
The supercar “digests” the first 100 km / h after 2.9 seconds, after another 5 seconds it exchanges the third “hundred”, and continues accelerating until it reaches 340 km / h.
In the combined mode of movement, the two-door "destroys" about 14.9 liters of high-octane gasoline per 100 km of run.
The Ferrari 812 Superfast is based on a space frame made of "winged" metal with a power plant located in the front and a gearbox shifted to the rear, so that the weight is distributed along the axles of the car in a ratio of 47:53. Both front and rear, the supercar "flaunts" independent double wishbones with lateral stabilizers, magnetorheological fluid-filled adaptive shock absorbers and coil springs.
The chassis at the two-door is fully steerable with advanced "virtually shortened wheelbase" technology and SSC side slip monitoring. The Italian "stallion" is equipped with an electric power steering (for the first time among Ferrari) and powerful ventilated brakes with carbon-ceramic mechanisms on each wheel, which are assisted by a whole bunch of auxiliary electronics.
Equipment and prices. When exactly the Ferrari 812 Superfast will go on sale, and how much they will ask for it, is still not known for certain. Already in the "state" the car has a set of airbags, full LED optics, dual-zone "climate", analog-digital instrument cluster, 20-inch wheel rims, high-quality "music", electric power steering, ABS, ESP, SSC, fully-controlled chassis and a bunch of other modern "lotions".
