Lamborghini Sian is an all-wheel drive mid-engine hypercar that combines expressive design, high-performance and progressive "stuffing" and remarkable driving potential ... In addition, it is not only the first production hybrid from Sant'Agata Bolognese, but also the most powerful car in history. Italian automaker ...

The virtual presentation of the Lamborghini Sian, whose name in the Bologna dialect means "lightning" or "flash", took place on September 3, 2019, and a few days later the hypercar appeared in all its glory before the general public at the stands of the International Motor Show in Frankfurt.

The car really impressed, not only because its design was based on the 2017 Terzo Millennio concept, but also because of its advanced technical component.

Exterior

Outside, Lamborghini Sian looks stunning - the hybrid literally hits the spot with its extravagant appearance, "teeming" with memorable design solutions.

Spectacular head optics with Y-shaped running lights, cool taillights, each of which consists of three LED "hexagons" ...

The embossed plastic of the body with an "uncounted" number of aerodynamic "bells and whistles", again, hexagonal pipes of the exhaust system - this hypercar cannot be confused with any other "Lambo" for sure.

Dimensions and weight

The overall length of the Lamborghini Sian is 4980 mm, of which the distance between the wheelsets extends by 2700 mm, its height does not exceed 1133 mm, and its width reaches 2101 mm (including the side mirrors - 2265 mm).

In the "combat" state, the two-door weighs 1622 kg, and this mass is divided along the axes almost in equal shares - 43:57 in favor of the rear.

Interior

Inside the hybrid hypercar, the atmosphere of luxury and sport dominates - a three-spoke steering wheel with a developed relief, a zero mark at the top and a "flattened" rim at the bottom, a virtual instrument cluster with a widescreen display, a stylish center console with Y-motifs on the sides, which carries a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment complex, as well as keys and switches that manage secondary functions.

The interior of the car is strictly two-seater, and both riders rely on bucket seats with integrated head restraints, a bright side profile and electric adjustments.

Specifications

The Lamborghini Sian is driven by a hybrid power plant, in which the leading role is assigned to an aluminum petrol "aspirated" V12 with a working volume of 6.5 liters with a 60-degree camber of the cylinder block, a distributed injection system, a 48-valve timing, variable valve timing and dry sump lubrication technology generating 785 horsepower at 8500 rpm and 720 Nm of torque at 6750 rpm.

The engine is mated to a 7-band robotic ISR gearbox with one clutch, in which a 34-horsepower electric motor (38 Nm of peak thrust) is integrated, operating at 48 volts and "powered" not by a traditional battery, but by a supercapacitor (it has more high level of energy exchange). As a result, the total power of the hybrid drive is 819 hp.

Well, all this potential is assisted by an all-wheel drive transmission with an electronically controlled Haldex clutch of the fourth generation in the front axle drive and a mechanical limited-slip differential.

Speed and dynamics

The "driving" characteristics of the hypercar are really impressive - from one place to the first "hundred" it shoots out after 2.8 seconds, and the maximum acceleration is up to 350 km / h.

It is also worth noting that the electric motor allows the car to move while parking without using the internal combustion engine, and also makes its dynamics more efficient (but after 130 km / h it turns off completely).

Design features

The Lamborghini Sian is based on the Aventador chassis - the hypercar has a carbon fiber monocoque, which is a closed capsule, with front and rear aluminum frames, as well as a body made entirely of carbon.

The car boasts fully independent double wishbones with a pusher system, horizontal springs and shock absorbers (the latter are filled with magnetorheological fluid) and lateral stabilizers.

By default, the Italian coupe is equipped with hydraulic power steering and variable gear ratio. The two-door braking system is dual-circuit with a hydraulic drive, featuring carbon-ceramic brakes with six-piston calipers at the front and four-piston at the rear, as well as ventilated and perforated discs “in a circle”.

Complete set and price

The Lamborghini Sian hypercar will be released in a limited edition - only 63 copies (this is how the Italians remind of the year the company was founded - 1963). The cost of each car starts at ≈3.6 million dollars (≈235 million rubles), and all of them have already been sold out by privileged customers.

Already in the "base", the coupe can boast: six airbags, fully LED optics, ABS, ESP, EBD, TCS, a media center with a 10.1-inch screen, a virtual instrument cluster, a premium audio system, wheels measuring 20 inches in front and 21 inches in the rear, mirrors heated, electrically adjustable and electric folding, as well as the darkness of other modern "bells and whistles".
