Zetta is a small-sized three-door electric car with front or all-wheel drive, combining incredibly compact dimensions and efficient electric "stuffing" (at least, according to the developers' statements), and even for relatively little money ... The target audience of the car includes several categories of buyers. : firstly, these are people interested in innovations, and secondly, they are adherents of "green" technologies; and thirdly, they are city dwellers who want to save money ...

The development of an electric vehicle called Zetta (ie Zero Emission Terra Transport Asset) by the efforts of the Togliatti engineering company of the same name began in 2016, the first prototype of the model was presented in 2017, and already in 2019 the three-door has practically acquired a "serial appearance".

The Zetta looks really strange, and this definition is more concerned not with proportions, but with stylistic decisions - however, the electric car will at least highlight in the city traffic, attracting attention to itself.

It is worth noting that due to the technical features, the car, in addition to the "three-door hatchback" body, can receive other versions, up to a pickup or even a convertible.

Size and weight

In terms of its dimensions, Zetta is a representative of the A-class according to the European classification: the length of the electric vehicle is 3030 mm, of which 1890 mm is the center distance, and its width and height are 1600 mm and 1760 mm, respectively.

When loaded, the three-door weighs from 486 to 708 kg, depending on the battery capacity.

Interior

There are no images of the interior of the Zetta yet, but according to the manufacturer, there will be practically no physical keys and switches inside the hatch, except perhaps only the steering wheel, and the control of all infotainment capabilities will be assigned to a touch tablet integrated into the front panel.

The salon of the Russian electric car is by default four-seater: both in front and behind there are amorphous seats, which in the first case are also capable of boasting adjustments in several directions.

As for the stock of free space, then, judging by the dimensions of the car, something supernatural in this case should not be expected.

It is noteworthy, but the Zetta even has a luggage compartment, albeit extremely modest in volume - it can "absorb" only 180 liters of luggage.

Specifications

By default, this electric car is driven by two asynchronous motor-wheels mounted on the front axle, the total potential of which is 49 horsepower and 1050 Nm of torque, however, in the "top" version, two more motor-wheels are added to them, mounted already in the rear parts, which brings the performance of the electric drive up to 98 hp. and 1750 Nm of peak thrust.

Depending on the modification, the three-door is supplied with a lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 10 or 32 kW * h, which provides it with a "range" of 200-560 km on a single charge. At the same time, the maximum car is capable of accelerating to 120 km / h (this speed is limited by the controller).

Design features

The Zetta electric car is based on the so-called "multifunctional compact modular transport platform" - in fact, it is a metal frame on which the body (by means of a capsule connection) is mounted with panels of extrusion composite, a battery and other components and assemblies.

At the front, the car is equipped with an independent MacPherson-type suspension, and at the rear - a semi-independent architecture with a torsion beam. By default, the three-door is equipped with electric power steering and a combined braking system with separate hydraulic and electric circuits and disc devices "in a circle".

Prices

The start of sales of Zetta on the Russian market is scheduled for december 2019 I quarter of 2020 at a price of 450 thousand rubles (but this is excluding VAT, with it the cost rises to 540 thousand rubles) - so much will have to be paid for a front-wheel drive version, equipped with a lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 10 kW * h.

In addition, in the future, the electric car will also be exported, but to which specific countries is not reported.
